Well, it has been our premise FROM THE START that, YES, real estate is one of the hottest web 2.0 markets ready to be plumbed, which accounts for the tremendous buzz today about Zillow. (Just go there and see.)
However, while residential and even commercial real estate sites have enjoyed scintillating interest and web presence/ explosion, that has not exactly been the case for RURAL real estate listing sites. This is a dark horse industry in the 2.0 marketplace, as far as we can see.
Then there is today’s report on Inman News about movers and shakers in the real estate web world. ONLY ONE rural land site merited mention, and that was Landsofamerica.com, the largest lister of rural properties. Hitwise noted that LandsofAmerica.com was one of the biggest “movers” up the hit chain in March.
Congrats! To the Texas company that has set a nice standard for rural land listings!
From the story: “Other fast-moving real estate sites include MadRate.com, AllianceRE.net, Homethinking.com, LandsofAmerica.com, AgentEvaluator.com and RentJillsHouse.com.”
