LandCrazed had heard reports in mid-May out of Waterloo, Iowa about how Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement had rented the National Cattle Congress grounds at the Iowa fairgrounds. Turns out that the land lease was ahead of a bust at the local meat processing plant in nearby Pottsville, Iowa.
About 600 people were busted and brought to the fairgrounds, where federal officials had hooked up generators in order to use barns and out buildings to “interview” detainees regarding residency status.
Nice to know our government can be so efficient when it really needs to show some muscle!

I’m glad they found a good use for the land more than once a year. I agree that it is nice to see them use a bit of muscle now and then as well.
